Description: an elastic and stretchy  yarn made in Italy. It can be knitted together with other yarns and is suitable for knits that require elasticity. Polyamide fibre is first developed in America in the 30s'. In the manufacture of polyamide fibres the primary materials are transformed by chemical processes into a granulate (tiny grains). This is dissolved into a liquid or heated to produce a thick, syrupy spinning mass which is pressed through the spinneret. The fibre is very durable, light, resistant to bacteria, easy to wash and quick-drying and often used to manufacture if outdoor garments. It also drape very well like lycra when knitted into fabric. Great for machine knitting.
